This animation reminded me of an old Disney animation I like and watch every once in a while (Watercolor of Brazil – Aquarela do Brasil).
In the Disney cartoon / animation the world is also being colorized with a brush, I see that both animations have some of the same elements and feel. The trailer for Rio also reminded me of this old Disney cartoon.
