This software looks promising! As it its shown in the video it allows you to turn your Kinect into a low cost 3D Camera.
It is reported that it is basically a DIY (Do It Yourself) motion capture system. Personally I do not own a Xbox or a Kinect but nonetheless it caught my attention as I have been interested in doing my own motion capture. I got the ping pong balls, but still need to find a spandex suit or perhaps find a cheap way to put one together.
I have also seen some tests done to track facial motion with small round white sticker (which so far have not been able to locate – I have only seen yellow and green at the local store).
Hopefully you find this as interesting as I do, and if you do have both hardware items perhaps you can test it and let us know how it works.
